Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions form the basis for subscribers' use of AdenCash services, and accepting them is considered an acknowledgment from the customer of their acceptance. Therefore, please read them carefully.
Opening an AdenCash Account:
- The customer must be at least 18 years old to open an electronic money account, possess a personal ID, and have a personal mobile phone number.
- An electronic money account is not considered a bank account; however, we are committed to complying with the legal requirements related to electronic money and the laws set to ensure the safety and liquidity of funds deposited in electronic money accounts.
- To use AdenCash, you must register for the service, and by registering, you agree to the terms and conditions of use and the privacy policy.
- When creating a wallet account with AdenCash, you must specify whether you want to open a personal or business account. If you intend to use the account for commercial purposes, you must inform us so that the account is classified accordingly to complete the necessary requirements. If you have opened a personal account, you must notify us in advance by contacting customer service: 8000020.
- The customer is entitled to hold only three accounts with three different numbers.
- You can close your account by contacting customer service: 8000020 and following the required steps.
- You must acknowledge that all the information you have provided is accurate and correct, whether at registration or any time it is requested from you.
Privacy Policy:
- Your AdenCash account is an electronic money account that allows you to carry out financial transactions such as paying for services, sending and receiving transfers, paying bills and subscriptions, and more.
- The AdenCash electronic money account is limited to Yemeni currency, which is licensed by the Central Bank.
- The electronic money in your account is issued in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Central Bank.
- The electronic money deposited in your account remains the same and does not generate any returns, interests, or profits in exchange for being deposited in the electronic money account.
- You have the right to withdraw or transfer your funds deposited in your account into cash at any time, knowing that this is subject to the following procedures:
- Personal identity confirmation (ID card or passport).
- The electronic money account is subject to a certain ceiling in terms of balance or the number of transactions, as per Central Bank instructions. The transaction ceilings may change from time to time according to wallet estimates or legal instructions, and no objections are allowed regarding this.
- The availability of sufficient funds in the electronic money account to cover the cash withdrawal fee.
- The funds in the wallet account are the property of the account holder personally or the legal entity registered in the account. No one else is authorized to handle these funds unless the owner of the electronic money account grants the authorization.
Service Suspension and Termination:
- The customer has the right to cancel their electronic money account at any time.
- AdenCash has the right to terminate your wallet account by giving you a one-month prior notice and providing the necessary instructions to withdraw the remaining funds in your electronic account.
- Fees due for transactions related to the account being terminated will be deducted.
- In some cases, your wallet account may be closed or suspended without prior notice, including in the following situations:
- Engaging in any violation or illegal action when using our services.
- Breaching any of these terms and conditions or any other terms that apply to specific services covered by separate agreements and terms.
- Engaging in any fraudulent activity, money laundering, terrorism financing, or any other criminal activity.
Account Funding:
- Balances and transactions in the wallet account are subject to certain limits, which are automatically set in the system based on the type of electronic account you own and the category to which the account belongs.
- You can fund your account by visiting any agent or the nearest branch.
Account Security:
- You must ensure that the information registered in your account is accurate and updated periodically. AdenCash is not responsible for any losses you may incur due to any negligence on your part in protecting your account.
- Your phone number is your account number, so you must always ensure that your phone number is active. Please inform us in case of phone loss or if you wish to change your mobile number.
- You should regularly check your balance and transaction history in the wallet and report any suspicious transactions immediately by contacting customer service: 8000020.
- If you claim a refund or payment made by mistake from your account, you must notify us as soon as you become aware of the issue and within 24 hours of the transaction, provided the amount has not been spent by the recipient account.
Account Protection:
- Your electronic money account may be automatically suspended or frozen according to the previously mentioned security and protection policy if there is unauthorized use, an attempt to hack your account, or incorrect password entries five times, which may lead to freezing the account for a specific period until the reasons that led to its freezing are confirmed to be resolved.
- You must take all necessary steps and measures to ensure secure use of the application by following the steps below:
- Do not allow any third party to use your security information.
- Do not write down or store your password on any easily accessible form.
- Notify us without delay in the following cases:
- Delay in receiving the password code message.
- Loss or theft of your mobile phone.
- Desire to close the electronic money account.
